Our inclement weather policy is
linked to that of Montgomery County Public School
(MCPS). If MCPS is open during inclement weather,
so are we-unless we have a campus-specific emergency
(power outage, flooding, etc). If MCPS is closed
due to weather, so are we.
Check the office phone number,
301-527-1377, option 1 (after
6:30am), for the inclement weather announcement.
We will also attempt email notification of closing
plans or delays. If MCPS changes its decision
after 6:30am (which happens occasionally), our
status will also change accordingly.
On inclement weather days that
we are able to open, we cannot guarantee a plowed
driveway or sidewalk or salted walkways. Please
use caution.
General Guidelines:
1. If MCPS is closed,
our school is closed. However, in the
event of several closed days, please check your
email or the voicemail recording to verify our
status.
2. If MCPS opens two hours
late, our school opens at 10:00am
for all children and will dismiss at their scheduled
times.
3. If MCPS has an early closing,
please call us at the office to find out about
modifications to our schedule.
