Our
inclement weather policy of all campuses is
linked to that of Montgomery County Public Schools
(MCPS). If MCPS opens during inclement weather,
so do we- unless we have a campus specific emergency
(power outage, etc.)
Check our phones (301-299-7360 at Bells Mill
or 301-299-3818 for Potomac) after 6:30AM for
a recorded update regarding a school closing
or delayed opening. If MCPS changes its decision
after 6:30 (which occasionally happens), our
status will also changes accordingly.
On inclement weather days that we are able
to open, we cannot guarantee a plowed driveway
or salted sidewalks. Please use caution.
IF MCPS CENTRAL ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES
ARE CLOSED:
Our campuses are closed
IF MCPS IS CLOSED BUT CENTRAL ADMINISTRATIVE
OFFICES ARE OPEN:
We are open for SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN
(K-5th GRADE) enrolled in our before
and after care programs from 9-5. All children
will be housed at our POTOMAC ELEMENTARY
SCHOOL (13011 River Rd, Potomac) location.
An adult must sign-in children upon drop-off.
We must also have a phone number where a responsible
party can be reached in case we must alter our
plans during the course of the day.
Please note that on these days, we reserve
the right not to open at all, or to close during
the day if we deem the road conditions to be
unsafe or feel that the weather conditions are
worsening.
IF MCPS OPENS TWO HOURS LATE:
We will open at 9:00AM for all students (preschool
and school-age) who are enrolled in our before
care and after care program only. Preschool
classes will begin at 10:00AM and will
dismiss at their regularly scheduled time. School
age students are to be dropped off in their
usual before school classrooms
