Shalom Kester – Director
Ms. Shalom has been a member of the Georgetown Hill team since 2006. She holds a BA in Elementary Education from Cedarville College and is presently working on a Masters Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University.
Xiomara Munoz – Assistant Director
Ms. Xiomara has been with Georgetown Hill since the NRC campus opened in 2004. Prior to her employment at Georgetown Hill, Ms. Xiomara worked for White Flint Country Day as a Montessori Teaching Assistant for 5 years. Ms. Xiomara holds a Child Development Associate credential with the Infant/Toddler endorsement, and is working on her Associate Degree at Montgomery College.
Julie Alterman-Wolff – Trans K
Ms. Julie has worked at Georgetown Hill since 2005. She has been a coordinator of special events and summer camp at our NRC campus. In addition to a BS in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Maryland, Julie also holds a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Special Education with a focus on Family Counseling from Johns Hopkins University.
Ashley Johnson – TransK
Ms. Ashleigh joined our school in the fall of 2011 and has worked with young children since 1996. She has her Child Development Associate Credential and is planning to further her education in the field.
Cristina Massa – TransK
Ms. Cristina joined our school in the summer of 2011 after graduating high school. She is currently studying at Montgomery College.
Deana Funes – PreKindergarten
Ms. Deana joined us in the winter of 2012, and has worked with young children since 2004. She is currently working on a degree from Montgomery College.
Sandy Schiefelbein – PreKindergarten
Ms. Sandy has been with our school since the summer of 2009, and has worked with young children since 2000. She has her Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from Montgomery College.
Leah Segrin – PreKindergarten
Ms. Leah joined our school in the spring of 2011. She is currently working on her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Michigan State University.
Raquel Carrera – Threes
Ms. Raquel has been with Georgetown Hill since 2009, and joined the NRC Campus in the fall of 2011. She has courses in Early Childhood, and is getting a Masters in counseling with an interest in play therapy from Johns Hopkins University.
Helda Kasnadi – Threes
Ms. Helda started at our school in December of 2009 and has worked with young children since 1999. She has earned Level Three of the Maryland Child Care Credential.
Jennifer Regalado – Threes
Ms. Jennifer has been teaching at Georgetown Hill since 2008. Jennifer has received her Child Development Associate Credential.
Katie Ryan – Threes
Ms. Ryan joined our school in the fall of 2007, and has been in the field a number of years, as both a teacher and a nanny. Ms. Ryan is currently working towards her A.A.T. in Early Childhood Education at Montgomery College.
Kelly Broderick – Twos
Ms. Kelly joined our school in the fall of 2011, and has worked with young children since 2006. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse in May 2010.
Genevieve Holmes – Twos
Ms. Genevieve became a Georgetown Hill staff member in the spring of 2008. Having started her undergraduate education at the University of Liberia, she is now completing her studies at Montgomery College.
Jay Perrine – Twos
Ms. Jay joined our school in the fall of 2011, and previously worked with young children one summer at a day camp. She is currently working on her Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education at Prince George’s Community College.
Nikki Stinger – Twos
Ms. Nikki started working at our school in the fall of 2011, and worked with young children previously for 4 years. She is currently studying Early Childhood Education at Montgomery College.
Ingrid Ventura – Twos
Ms. Ingrid joined our school in the winter of 2012. She is working on her Child Development Associate credential.
Kirstin Butler – Toddlers
Ms. Kirstin joined our school in the fall of 2011, and has worked with young children since 2004. She is currently working on her Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education at Montgomery College.
Silvia Furfaro – Toddlers
Ms. Silvia is a former teacher from our Bells Mill location, and joined the staff at NRC in the fall of 2010 after 5 years running a home daycare. In her home country of Argentina, Ms. Silvia obtained a degree in Elementary Education.
Daysi Granados – Toddlers
Ms. Daysi came to Georgetown Hill in 2007, after working as a nanny. Ms. Daysi has her Child Development Associate Credential with the Infant/Toddler endorsement.
Radica Nanan – Toddlers
Ms. Radica has worked at our school since 2004, and has worked with young children since 1996. She earned her Child Development Associates Certificate (CDA) in 2008.
Emely Diaz-Amaya – Infants and Toddlers
Ms. Emely has been with our school since the fall of 2011. Although this is her first position in the field, she has experience with young children in babysitting and is eager to learn more.
Sandra Jimeno – Infants
Ms. Sandra has worked at our school since 2005, and has worked with young children since 1997. She earned her Child Development Associates Credential (CDA) in 2002, and is working on her Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.
Jennifer Robertson – Infants
Ms. Jennifer joined our school in 2004, then spent a couple of years at our Bells Mill school before coming back to the NRC Campus in 2011. She has the Child Development Associate Credential with the Infant and Toddler endorsement, and a B.A. from Ashford University.
Gigi Sorto – Infants
Ms. Gigi joined our school in the spring of 2011. She is currently working on her Child Development Associate Credential.
Maria Castillo – Floater
Ms. Maria has been part of the Georgetown Hill staff since 2009 and has worked in the field for over 20 years. She has the Child Development Associates Credential.
Nellie Dagoon – Floater
Ms. Nellie has been with Georgetown Hill since 2005, and at our NRC Campus since 2006. She holds a Masters degree in addition to the 90 Hour Early Childhood Education certificate.
Pita Lubis – Floater
Ms. Pita has worked at Georgetown Hill since 2000, joined the NRC campus in 2005, and has worked with young children since 1997. She also works for Montgomery County Public Schools as a Special Education Paraeducator. She has her 90 hour Child Development certificate.
Lida Sandoval – Floater
Ms. Lida started working at our school in the winter of 2012. She is currently working on her Child Development Associate Credential.
Meg Bollwerk – Clerical Support
Ms. Meg started at our school in 2008 as a volunteer in high school, and then as an aide. She has since graduated from high school and is working towards an Associate’s Degree.
Kinuyo Musheno – Kitchen
Ms. Kin has worked in the field of Early Childhood Education for over 30 years. She has completed her Child Development Associate Credential, and holds the ServSafe Certification in Food Preparation.
Ebony Frazier – Substitute
Ms. Ebony has been with Georgetown Hill since the fall of 2008, and has worked with young children since 2002. In addition to working at Georgetown hill, Ms. Ebony works with children that have Autism and other pervasive developmental disorders. With the goal of becoming a behavioral specialist, Ebony is working on completing her Early Childhood and Special Education degrees.
Patricia Sanders – Substitute
Ms. Pat has worked at our school since the fall of 2007, and has worked with young children since 1995. She earned her Child Development Associates Certificate (CDA) in 2011.
Kerine Simms – Substitute
Ms. Kerine started working at our school in the summer of 2010 and has worked with young children since 1998. She has her A.A.T. in Elementary Education from Montgomery College.
